Madelyn received her Master’s in Counseling from Houston Baptist University. Her life’s work thus far has been dedicated to working with adolescents in a variety of settings, including several years as a teacher and volunteer. Her approach uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, play, art and experiential therapy techniques, to help client’s process there thoughts, feelings, and experiences. My goal is to help clients develop self-compassion, acceptance, and growth through creative and supportive therapy. I help clients navigate life and encounter different challenges and obstacles. It can sometimes seem hard to keep our heads above water. People often find coping mechanisms that clear the path just enough to make it past the block, but can leave emotional and physical wounds. I work with individuals, groups, and couples to find different ways for them to navigate around, or clear these roadblocks, helping to diminish the bumps, scrapes, and scars one experiences.
